Tekonolosi & Gagana Samoa

Using technology to learn language

Technology can play a significant role in language development. Students at Le Fetuao Samoan Language Center use iPads and MacBooks as tools to learn language. It’s proven effective in education that technology can improve children’s language skills via listening, reading, and writing.

Tech Camp

Students ages 9 and up are invited to participate in Le Fetuao SLC’s Tech Camps. The week-long, half-day program are held during the Hawai‘i DOE breaks, e.g., Spring Break, Summer Break, and Winter Break. The Tech Camps are usually held at the August Ahrens School Library in Waipahu. The culminating event, Tech Camp Showcase, gives students an opportunity to share the products they created with their friends and family and the Le Fetuao learning community. Stay tuned for the open registration period for upcoming Tech Camps.

We are able to accept 20 students per class. Spaces limited. $25 registration fee. We do not want program cost to limit student participation. If the cost poses a financial burden please submit your scholarship request via email to admin@lefetuao.com.
